“Only a true friend will tell you that your face has dirt. ~Sicilian Proverb

This is a nice thought for me to ponder when someone says something that does not really ring well to my ears. I thank those people who take time for me and think about me. I intend to be the same, or more! take care and God Bless! tfr!

You don’t have to know where you’re going, You just have to know where you’re from.

I heard this statement from Cars (the movie)… I think it’s very true and a little something we can ponder upon in this sometimes stressful world. I know it made me think, and not worry too much about “where I’m going” .

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,

and remember what peace there may

be in silence. As far as possible, without

surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen

to others, even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons;

they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter,

for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as

your  plans. Keep interested    in your   own career, however humble, it’s a real    possession in the

changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantement, it is as perrenial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

be strong

When I was a teenager, I happen to read a book (that I forgot the title) that made a difference in me. When I was down and troubled, I find peace in the saying that goes… “be strong as a tree my son, let your root grow deep in knowledge so that the winds and storms of life shake not even a single leaf from your branches…” I wish that I can remember who wrote that so I can give it a proper citation.

I will keep on searching who the author of this book is. Of course it would help if I remember the title… but I don’t. I guess, what matters is I learned the lesson… although it would be nice if I can remember the teacher… tfr!

Your Grace is Enough

Your Grace is Enough, by Matt Maher (Also sung by Chris Tomlin)

Great is your faithfulness oh God
You wrestle with the sinner’s heart
You lead us by still waters into mercy
And nothing can keep us apart
So remember your people
Remember your children
Remember your promise, oh God
Your grace is enough.
Your grace is enough.
Your grace is enough.
Your grace is enough for me.
Great is your love and justice God.
You use the weak to lead the strong.
You lead us in the song of your salvation
And all your people sing along.
So remember your people.
Remember your children.
Remember your promise, oh God.
Your Grace is enough
Heaven reaching down to us
Your Grace is enough for me
God, I see your grace is enough
I’m covered in your love
Your grace is enough for me.

I’ve read this song lyric from a really nice blog I came across this morning.

Don’t Quit!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

A Day in Worcester

I am so happy and honored to have a friend who I call a sister. I am glad to spend a day with her and my son in Worcester. We went to a Good Will store and enjoyed the bargain. Time flies when you’re having fun… before we knew it, we were saying our sweet little goodbyes and we’re off to drive back to our little places.

My wish is that my little sister and I will stay together ~ forever! I wish her all the happiness she deserves, and I wish her safety.

Here are some pictures I took when we’re in Worcester:

I did not have the chance to play with it, so I guess I’ll just try next time since I don’t have time to play with it again…. Anyone is welcome to help me if you’re interested    please leave me a message in the comments.
